Montenegro - The Pearl of Adriatic Sea

Tourists come to Montenegro (the official name of the country is Crna Gora, translates literally as black Mountain) to enjoy crystal clear waters of Adriatic sea, beautiful mountains, miles of beaches, and endless hospitality of the people, and leave their heart here for ever.

Most travelers coming to Montenegro fall in love with white villas under bright orange tiled roofs surrounded with lush Mediterranean greenery. These neat houses together with orange, tangerine, and pomegranate trees growing everywhere make the streets of Montenegrin cities look festive and cheerful. Budva, Sveti Stefan, kotor, Tivat, Herceg Novi and Ulcin are the cities that attract the most tourists.

Budva is the most popular Montenegrin resort, one of the sunniest places in Europe and one of the oldest and most beautiful old towns on the Adriatic coast. The ancient town known from the fifth century BC, today Budva attracts tourists with its nightlife and parties, discos, bars, restaurants and casinos. Another famous place, Sveti Stefan (Saint Stefan), unique city-hotel, is located nine kilometers from Budva. It is a small peninsula, a home of dozens luxurious villas and hotels, with beautiful views and beaches, and it attracts those who prefer more quiet and respectable rest.

kotor is a gorgeous old city in the north of Montenegro. On the way to kotor you will see the only fjord in the Southern Europe, the spectacular kotor bay. Tivat and Herceg Novi are the towns not far from kotor, close to the border with Croatia. Ulcin is a town in the south of Montenegro, not far from Albanian border. To the south of Ulcin you will see the famous Velika Plaja (the Great Beach), 13 kilometers long, with dark volcanic sand. The town itself is colorful and unforgettable, with its narrow streets and mosques, old houses, churches and museum.
